About Doug Smith
Doug is known for his loose and easy watercolours with marine, landscape and building subjects. They are crisp, strong and with well-defined composition and perspective. Most of his work is developed through 1-3 sketches and drawings. The drawings and sketches resolve all challenging issues and sets the final painting with a compelling sense for the viewer. Doug has his work in collections in Canada and abroad.
