DESCRIPTION:Learn to Paint with Stephen Purdy! \nMost of us enjoy the natural landscape\, and sometimes stand in awe of its beauty. \nJoin Stephen as he teaches and shares what he’s learned to help you make a landscape painting you can be proud of! \nThis class is based on the process of painting outdoors\, in which it is essential to develop a strong composition\, designate the appropriate values\, and make the colour sparkle with the life of the scene before your eyes. Outside\, you have a limited time to capture the scene as the light will change. Inside the studio\, this same efficiency will keep your painting fresh. \nThis class is for everyone. Beginner\, Intermediate or Expert. We can all learn from some constructive criticism. The class is structured with demonstrations of each stage of a painting\, followed by individual critiques of each stage of the students’ progress. If you are a little uncertain of your ability\, don’t be\, this class might be a little intense\, but that is because painting is really\, really\, REALLY fun!!! \nPlease Bring: \nYou can bring whatever painting medium you prefer: acrylics\, oil\, or watercolour paints. \n\nPalette for mixing paint on\nPalette knife for mixing the paint\nVariety of brushes: large\, and not so small\nA canvas to paint on (Stephen will be painting on a 11×14″ canvas board)\nColours: 2 blues\, 2 yellows\, 2 reds\, and a big tube of white!\nA photo of a particular scene you would like to paint\nPaper towel\n\nThat’s it! That’s all you have to bring other than your attitude. \nGood attitudes are preferred\, but not necessary 😉 \nDate: Tuesday\, March 3rd \nTime: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM \nRegistration Price: \n\n$30 + GST | Fees\n\nMore information and registration HERE!
