Following 3 short demonstrations of the initial rough in\, the block in\, and the painting finish\, participants will proceed with using the aforementioned technique for themselves. \nDate: Saturday May 30th\, 2025 \nLocation: Cochrane Historic Ranche \nTime: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM \nCost: $25.00 \nAudience: Adults Only – 18+ \nAttire: Dress for being outside. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration at Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery! \nWe’re honoured to welcome Indigenous Cree artist Terrie Batycki for a live art demonstration and artist talk\, where visitors will have the opportunity to learn about her creative practice and the traditions that inspire her work. \nA member of Peepeekisis First Nation with direct lineage to Chief Cote and Chief Okanese\, Terrie’s artistry spans beadwork\, leatherwork\, metalwork\, painting\, and upcycled creations. Her work reflects a deep connection to culture\, sustainability\, and the stories carried through Indigenous art forms. \nDate: Sunday\, June 21 \nLocation: Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery \nTime: 1:00 – 4:00 PM \nCome experience an afternoon of creativity\, conversation\, and cultural connection as Terrie shares her artistic journey and demonstrates her craft in our beautiful gallery space. DESCRIPTION:Crafternoons at Route 22! \nStep into the Route 22 Makerspace with the Cochrane Crafting Collective to enjoy some social\, low-key\, and self-directed creating time in a space full of creative inspiration! \nDates: \n\nTuesdays & Sundays\, Weekly\n\nTimes: \n\nTuesdays: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM\nSundays: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM\n\nLocation: Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery \nCost: FREE with optional registration HERE | (These session are open for drop-in!) \nAudience: Ages 15+ \nCrafters are welcome to come and make use of the Route 22 Makerspace\, within the Route 22 gallery to enjoy some social\, low-key and self-directed creative time in a highly creative environment. \nOur members artists will be on site in the gallery during these hours and the gallery is also open to the public during these times. There is a small kitchen area (kettle\, coffee make\, fridge) and washroom available for the drop-in sessions. Please be respectful of our space and leave things as you find them. \nThere are many ways to become involved with our creative community! \nCrafters who wish to further support or contribute to the Route 22 creative space and opportunities are encouraged to consider a support membership (20$ annually) or to donate!
