DESCRIPTION:National Day for Truth & Reconciliation \nLearn about this unique art form from artist Michelle Wiebe\, its role in the residential school system\, and create a custom themed postcard as a token of truth and reconciliation. \nThis event is FREE & open to the public. \nDATE: September 30\, 2025 \nTIME: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM \nLOCATION: The Station at Cochrane Crossing | 360 Railway St. W\, Cochrane AB \nThe day will begin with a flag raising and moment of silence\, followed by reflections from local First Nation Elders and Métis Knowledge Keepers. Guests are invited to engage in reconciliation-focused art and music activities\, spend time in the tipi\, observe traditional hide tanning\, and experience cultural demonstrations shared by local Indigenous community members. \n*Bannock and refreshments will be provided for the first 400 people.* \nJoin us and the Town of Cochrane to create a space for reflection\, learning\, and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
