Class Description: Beginner/Intermediate Acrylic Painting
Learn the basics of painting and start working on your masterpiece! Students will learn how choose their subject, prepare their canvas, apply paint with a variety of techniques, as well as troubleshoot problem areas. Students will take home a completed painting and the knowledge to develop their skills further on their own.
Intermediate Students will be coached through individual projects and provided with more targeted feedback based on their goals for skill development.
Instructor Biography:
Michelle Wiebe is a Cochrane, Alberta based artist focused primarily on painting, printmaking and letterpress. Her work is characterized by simple subject matter rendered with bold colour and line work. Michelle is also a passionate instructor with a deep love for teaching, she makes it her goal that students leave her class with quality work and the confidence to continue building their new skills. She can also be found doing collaborations, demonstrations and commission pieces. She is the Programming and Engagement Coordinator at Alberta Printmakers and a member of the Leighton Artist Centre.
