Home and belonging are themes that call me to explore and to understand.
Indigenous and non-indigenous experiences of home and belonging to this place are at a large scale social intersection – and it is a raw and difficult conversation.
Where do we belong now? How do we belong collectively and individually? How do honour the old stories and also begin to tell a new one where we all have a place of belonging – to this land and to each other?
This is my way of reflecting on these questions and of trying to untangle the threads – using the language of shape, symbol and colour.
