Art Gallery Helper (Seasonal | Student Position)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Seasonal Gallery Helper to join our team during the peak season. 

This role is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic gallery environment, with a strong emphasis on customer service and marketing.

 

Required Seasonal Availability: May 15 to *Sept 15th

Required Days of Work: Thursday to Sunday | Hours are from 1 pm – 8 pm (28 hours total per week)

* September 15th is the ideal end date, however there is room to negotiate based on school return date and/or school schedules should candidate be attending a local school and able to work until the desired end date

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
C
ustomer Service:

  • Greet and assist visitors, providing information about exhibits, programs, and events.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all visitors.

Marketing Support: 

  • Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials, both digital and print.
  • Help manage social media accounts by creating engaging content and responding to comments.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events.

Gallery Operations:

  • Assist with the setup and takedown of exhibits and events.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of gallery spaces.
  • Monitor visitor flow and ensure adherence to gallery policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in or preparing for a college or university program, preferably in the Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a similar related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools, ie. Canva Pro is a plus.
  • Previous experience in customer service or marketing is desirable, but not required.
