Indigenous Arts & Culture Week Opening Reception!

Cochrane’s Indigenous Arts & Culture Week!
The Opening Reception to Indigenous Arts & Culture Week in Cochrane 2026 this year features a multi venue Indigenous Art Exhibition featuring the works of Stoney Nakoda father-daughter artists Dennis and Daisynae Labelle, whose creativity and cultural knowledge are expressed through powerful visual storytelling.
The exhibition will also include a special art tribute with works from late Amber Boyd, former District 4 Captain for the Rocky View Métis District of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, as a special tribute honouring the legacy and contributions she gave to our community.
This Art Exhibition can be viewed at four locations: Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery, Cochrane Public Library, Wazin Îchinabi Ti, and The Station at Cochrane Crossing!
Visit the exhibited works at Route 22 from March 8-22nd and join us for the Opening Reception at the Wazin Îchinabi Ti Centre on March 8th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
Visitors are invited to explore each space to experience the full range of artwork and perspectives featured in this year’s collection.
