Photography has been a passion of mine for over 50 years. I feel very fortunate to live in Western Canada where there are so many excellent subjects for my love of photographing rustic Western scenes as well as insects and flowers. I believe that there are always new things to see and learn about and photography helps me to fuel this passion.
Brad has lived in Cochrane since 1997 and is now semi-retired. He studied biology at University and worked for many years as a biologist/agronomist in Canadian agriculture.
Every old barn and rusting truck or car that Brad comes across can become the centerpiece of his next work. As the years come and go more of these precious relics from the past disappear from the landscape. Brad does his best to capture scenes that will preserve memories of the past in the years to come. His rustic images are all taken in Western Canada, mostly in Alberta and Saskatchewan where old buildings and vehicles decay slowly in our dry climate.
Brad’s macro images stem from a passion for biology, particularly entomology which he studied at University. Brad’s photographs have been published in a number of books and magazines including Discover magazine and the Canadian Geographic.
