Photographer

Tony Trott

Tony is inspired by being in nature, especially when observing wild animals, birds and dramatic scenery. When he looks through the camera everything changes and it gives him a greater appreciation and in-sight into the scene unfolding before him. He feels totally relaxed and oblivious of everything else around. It is these moments of awe and exhilaration that he wants to share with you. This love of photography also complements his other interest of practising and teaching meditation.

Living in Cochrane, so near to the Rocky Mountains, Tony enjoys being immersed in nature and loves to cross-country ski in winter and hike in the summer. This provides the perfect opportunity for him to continually evolve his photographic skills. Tony’s interest in wildlife has also taken him on journeys to Africa and also within Canada to Churchill (Polar Bears) and to British Columbia (Grizzlies and Whales). Tony also has a passion for history, art, architecture and the culture of Western Civilization which takes him frequently to Europe for travel, exploration and of course more photography.

The intersection where art, culture and community converge.
Route 22 Gallery is located on the land of the Treaty 7 people. In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Treaty 7 territory and the cultural and oral practices of the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations as well as the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, (Métis Nation District 4) within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. It is a privilege and and an honour to share these lands as our collective home. Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery is an inclusive organization. We love our community and all are welcome here.
