Help Make Poppy Brooches!

Have some fun with clay!
Help make poppy brooches for Remembrance Day (Nov 11). All templates and materials will be provided. No Experience necessary. All brooches will be donated to the local Cochrane Legion. We will be contributing to a Remembrance Gardens of Poppies— public installations honouring veterans and raising funds for Canadian Legions.

About the Instructor:
Karen Ho Fatt is a Jamaican, Canadian artist based in Bragg Creek. Art was always Karen’s calling after having painted her first set of “Paint by Numbers” and creating her first stone sculpture at the age of eight. A multidisciplinary artist best known for her sculptural seating, Karen’s works range include site specific sculpture and functional sculpture created in a variety of materials. Karen recently installed her glass mosaic sculpture Cochrane Bricolage at the Station at Cochrane Crossing. She continues to create art inspired by the inspirational foothills of the Rocky Mountains where she lives.
