It’s about paint and consciously putting it down in a way that it becomes my personal rendition of an inspiring scene. It’s also about the evolution of painting with each piece seeming to have a life of its own. Ultimately, It’s about my artistic journey and the basic fact that I love to paint.
Anne was born in Noranda, Quebec and raised in Sudbury, Ontario but she considers herself a Western Canadian having moved to the Calgary/Cochrane Alberta area in 1979.
Art has always been second nature to Anne. She won a city-wide award for a landscape painting at the age of twelve and she sold her first painting in high school.
Although Anne has worked in most mediums, she has gravitated to painting with acrylics as her preferred medium. As a “Western Canadian Landscape Artist” , her paintings often include scenes with mountains, meadows and wildflowers.
Anne is proud to say that she is a “Founding Member” at Route 22 Art Collective and Gallery. Anne also sells her art at several art events throughout the year.
Anne’s art can be found in collection through Canada. Paintings have also made their way to international locations such as Singapore, France, and Scotland.
