Leather

Jack Rosentreter

Inspiration comes from living in rural Manitoba with a family that supported creativity, loved nature, and pushed its sons to continuously strive for reaching their goals.

Historically have worked with a variety of mediums but in retirement have landed on leather and the ability to use it to create a variety of extremely interesting works.

Inspiration has always come from my mother who encourage her sons to challenge themselves and think out of the box when being creative.

Although I have always worked with different mediums to express my creativity, in retirement I now have the time to do even more. Prior to retiring I was a federal drug specialist, pharmacist, teacher, academic detailer, master herbalist, and coach – loved them all.

The intersection where art, culture and community converge.
Route 22 Gallery is located on the land of the Treaty 7 people. In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Treaty 7 territory and the cultural and oral practices of the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations as well as the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, (Métis Nation District 4) within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. It is a privilege and and an honour to share these lands as our collective home. Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery is an inclusive organization. We love our community and all are welcome here.
