My art is inspired by the world around me, the changing seasons, and the beauty I find in everyday life. I love exploring color, texture, and movement to bring energy and emotion into my paintings. Through my art, I hope to capture the feeling and movement of a moment and create a sense of joy and connection.
My art is inspired by the world around me, the changing seasons, and the beauty and energy found in everyday moments. I am drawn to movement, color, texture, and the emotional connection created through the creative process. I often take my own photographs as reference, allowing me to capture and reinterpret places, landscapes, and moments that inspire me.
I work primarily in oil, acrylic, and mixed-media collage, exploring layering, texture, and expressive movement to create engaging and contemporary works. My artistic practice is self-taught and continues to evolve through ongoing workshops, experimentation, and instructional art books. I believe in continually learning and exploring new techniques while developing my own visual voice.
I currently serve on the board of the Calgary Community Painters Society, where I am also the Program Director and facilitator for pop-up shows. I am a member of the Calgary Creative Arts Guild and a full member of Route 22 Art Gallery, where I teach paint nights and workshops and facilitate daytime classes for adults 12+.
