Shelly Bischoff is a self-taught landscape and wildlife artist whose work reflects a lifelong passion for creativity, storytelling, and connection. Working primarily in, acrylic, and watercolour, she creates evocative pieces inspired by the beauty of nature, the spirit of wildlife, and the warmth of nostalgic moments. Her art comes to life on paper, canvas, and reclaimed wood, each surface carrying its own story. 

A proud member of the Metis Nation of Alberta, Shelly draws deeply from her Indigenous heritage. Teachings of respect, kinship, and reverence for the natural world infuse her paintings with both meaning and spirit. Playful, nostalgic, and spiritual elements weave through Shelly’s work, capturing not only the essence of her subjects but also the emotions and memories they evoke. Her unique life experiences and deep spiritual connections infuse each piece with meaning, reflecting her belief that art has the power to tell stories, stir emotion, and bring people together through the beauty of nature, wildlife, and cherished memories. 

Shelly lives in the Foothills near Calgary, where she paints in her home studio surrounded by the inspiration of open skies, wildlife, and ever-changing seasons.
