Join us for an afternoon of learning and creativity with renowned artist Tania Big Plume. Discover the rich history and techniques of traditional Indigenous beadwork as Tania shares her knowledge and passion for this beautiful art form. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to connect with Indigenous culture and create your own stunning beadwork masterpiece!

Instructor Bio:
Tania Big Plume is the daughter of Willard Cardinal from Saddle Lake Cree Nation and Ethel Jacobs from Tsuut’ina, and Cayuga of the Turtle Clan. Both of her parents are Survivors of Residential School and her biggest supporters. She has been teaching beadwork for over 25 years to all who want to learn from ages 5 years old to 85 years old. Tania makes all of the traditional regalia for her local PowWows. She is also a recipient of the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase Award, and currently works closely with the Banff Buffalo Nation Museum – where you can find her artwork and fashion designs.
