Join Our Collective
Route 22 Artist Collective has four (4) types of memberships (two for artists and two for supporters). We encourage artists of all levels, art lovers, and appreciators of all kinds to join us. Non-artists (support members) can volunteer in the gallery and at our events. We provide free volunteer training and many professional development opportunities for member artists.
For Artists
Full Artist Membership Fee: $120/yr + GST
Commission: 30%
Gallery-shift requirement: Up to (3) Three (4) four-hour shifts per month).
Affiliate Artist Membership Fee: $120/yr + GST
Commission: 50%
Gallery-shift requirement: none.
Visual artists with a positive attitude, collaborative spirit and solution-oriented mindset are invited to apply to join Route 22 Artist Collective Ltd (the “Collective”). Actively engaged members are fundamental to sustainably operating a successful gallery, offering educational opportunities and creating a supportive environment wherein artists may learn and grow. Members are expected to fulfill all membership requirements, follow all rules and regulations and behave in a manner that will bear the closest scrutiny.
If you wish to become an Artist Member (Full or Affiliate), here’s what you need to do:
Read the Code of Conduct in the Rules & Regulations on page 11 to determine if our Collective is a good fit.
Read the Rules and Regulations to familiarize yourself with the expectations. Please also look through the FAQ.
Fill out the appropriate online application to join
The Gallery Director will contact you (1-2 weeks) to arrange an “interview” and to see “examples” of your work. Wait for a response/decision from the Gallery Director (1-2 weeks).
If accepted, pay the invoiced Membership Fee, and sign up for a training session (held every Monday from 1-2pm with the exceptions of holidays and interchange Mondays) on the Volunteer Signup site you will be given access to once your invoice has been paid.
Upon acceptance, you will receive a link to pay for your membership and sign up for training.
For Art Supporters
Support Membership – Individual (Fee: $20/yr + GST)
Community Support Membership – Business/organization (Fee: $25/yr + GST)

Businesses and Organizations that wish to support the growth of arts and culture in Cochrane, will be given the benefit of having their logo included on our Community Supporters section
