About our organization:

The Collective has established an elevated, multi-discipline visual arts gallery–operated by its dedicated members of the Route 22 Artist Collective Ltd. Behind the gallery display space is an Arts Makerspace intended to provide arts programming for all ages. The arts play a huge role in building healthy communities and maintaining mental wellness. The Covid-19 crisis has brought this to the forefront and further illuminated the importance of art in helping people cope in the current difficult times. The arts connect, nourish and sustain us on a fundamental human level.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Treaty 7 territory and the cultural and oral practices of the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations as well as the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, (Métis Nation District 4) within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
