Title: Beginner/Intermediate Acrylic Painting

Description: Learn the basics of painting and start working on your masterpiece! Students will spend the first class preparing their canvas and learning what makes for a great image to paint. On the second class they will bring their choice of image and work individually on their pieces for the subsequent classes. Each week the instructor will demo the next step and have one on one time with each student. Students will take home their own original painting and the knowledge to develop their skills further on their own. All Supplies Included.

What Students will Learn:  

• How to choose an interesting image to paint

• Prepare their canvas

• Apply paint in variety of ways

• How to troubleshoot

• How to finish a painting

Student Supplies : 

• Water bottle

• Notebook and pen

• Bring reading glasses if you require them for fine work

Instructor Bio :

Michelle Wiebe is a Cochrane, Alberta based artist focused primarily on painting, printmaking, and letterpress. Her work is characterized by simple subject matter rendered with bold colour and line work. Michelle is also a passionate instructor with a deep love for teaching, she makes it her goal that students leave her class with quality work and the confidence to continue building their new skills. She has regularly instructed at Inglewood Art Supplies, Alberta Printmakers and the Leighton Artist Centre.
