A perfect after-dinner activity to warm the heart and hands! You will be guided through the basics of soapstone carving with all materials included and a small project to take home at the end of the evening. Light refreshments are included.

About the instructor:

Michael Emery is an artist, educator, and mindfulness practitioner whose work reflects the complexities of his own evolving journey—a search for meaning, resilience, and creativity in a time of transformation. In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Treaty 7 territory and the cultural and oral practices of the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations as well as the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, (Métis Nation District 4) within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
