Description:

Join Route 22 Gallery for an afternoon of cultivating creativity with artist and Soapstone master, Michael Emery. This fun Valentine’s weekend workshop is a perfect for singles or couples seeking some calm and connection in the inspiring setting of the Route 22 Makerspace, within our Artist Collective Gallery space in historic downtown Cochrane.

An inspiring and fulfilling activity to warm the heart and hands! You will be guided through the basics of soapstone carving with all materials included and your stone creation to take home at the end of the afternoon. Light refreshments are included.

About the instructor:

Michael Emery is an artist, educator, and mindfulness practitioner whose work reflects the complexities of his own evolving journey—a search for meaning, resilience, and creativity in a time of transformation. With years of experience as a stone sculptor and a growing weaver, Michael inspires others to explore their own shades of grey, finding strength and insight in the artistic process.
