Artist Biography:

Pam Atkinson is an artist from Bragg Creek, Alberta. She draws and paints with pencil, pastels, watercolours and acrylics, and works in fibre-arts with felting, sewing, knitting and crocheting. People and nature are her favourite “subject matters” and portraits, landscapes, hats and puppets are her favourite projects. She has a BFA In developmental art, has worked in programs for children and people with special needs, and has a wide range of crafting skills. It all comes from a love of learning and sharing and teaching how to do and make and create art.

Route 22 Gallery is located on the land of the Treaty 7 people. In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Treaty 7 territory and the cultural and oral practices of the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations as well as the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, (Métis Nation District 4) within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. It is a privilege and and an honour to share these lands as our collective home.
