Description: Students will create 3 mixed-media greeting cards based on natural themes. Students will follow step-by-step instructions with room for their own creativity. Students will learn several watercolour, stamping and embellishment techniques in the process.
What Students will Learn:
· Basic card making principles
· Combining different art supplies onto paper
· Taking nature as an inspiration and recreating with art supplies
Student Supplies:
· Water bottle and snack
· All supplies included for project
Audience: Youth Aged 10 – 16 years old
Instructor Bio: Susan MacLennan is an artist and photographer who believes the western landscape and its wildlife is what sustains us and also feeds our souls. Her passion for adventure has taken her from the Alaskan Range to the Pyrenees mountains. Susan’s work is inspired by nature who teaches us everything about color, light and form – she strives to convey these ideals to her students.
