“It’s about paint and consciously putting it down in a way that it becomes my personal sense of an inspiring scene. It is also about the evolution of a painting with each piece seeming to have a life of its own. Ultimately, it’s about my artistic journey and the basic fact that I love to paint.”
Anne’s landscape paintings offer inspiring and uplifting scenes that she has experienced while hiking in mountain areas west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Anne has worked with many mediums, but she enjoys the versatility of painting with acrylics. She strives to achieve a sense of brilliance in her work by starting with a series of translucent glazes followed by thicker and more opaque colour additions. Anne often adds a tactile element to her paintings by preparing her supports textural applications.
Anne’s art is in private collections throughout Canada as well as in several international locations. Anne has been a member of the Route 22 Artist Collective and Gallery since August 2020.
