Barb Scott

Painter

As an artist I try to express my love of the outdoors in my work, and living in Alberta gives me access to some of the most amazing subject matter. Working mainly in my studio from photographs taken on hikes and my travels, I then try to capture the feeling I had in the moment and translate it on canvas.

I work mostly in Acrylics as well as occasionally in watercolour and oils. I enjoy using bright colours and bold brushstrokes as well as  the use of light and shadow to express my art. I am constantly growing as an artist and love trying new techniques and subject matter.

When someone views my art I want them to experience the joy and excitement of art.
