Susan MacLennan

Look into the sky and see the dancing horses in the clouds, and the rainbows that touch the mountain tops. I am an artist and photographer who believes the western landscape and its wildlife is what sustains us, but also feeds our souls. My passion for adventure and a love of nature has taken me from the Alaskan Range to the Pyrenees Mountains. Art and photography captures a moment in time that can live in our imaginations forever. My work is inspired by nature, for she teaches us everything about color, light and form. I work in acrylic painting, watercolor, and photography (digital art with creative applications). My style is Southwest, representational realism, revealing strong color and bold shapes. My mantra is from Horace: “A picture is a poem without words.”  It is a privilege to be a creative and celebrate the beauty of this world.
